Guidelines for INTERNSHIP ACTIVITIES
Objectives of Observation
Understanding Teaching Practices: To gain insights into the practical application of pedagogical theories by B.Ed. students.
Assessment Skills: To develop the ability to evaluate teaching techniques and strategies critically.
Mentorship Development: To prepare M.Ed. students for their role as future teacher educators.
Process of Observation
Scheduling: Each M.Ed. student is required to observe a minimum of 12 classes conducted by B.Ed. students.
Varied Subjects: The observations should cover a range of subjects and teaching methodologies.
Classroom Dynamics: Focus on the interaction between the teacher (B.Ed. student) and the learners.
Teaching Methods: Analyze the use of methods, techniques, and teaching aids by the B.Ed. student.
Key Focus Areas
Lesson Planning: Evaluate the clarity and structure of lesson plans.
Content Delivery: Assess the effectiveness of the teaching process and how well students are engaged.
Classroom Management: Observe how B.Ed. students handle classroom discipline and time management.
Use of Resources: Check for innovative and effective use of teaching aids and technology.
Learner Engagement: Notice how learners respond to and participate in the activities.
Documentation
Observation Notes: Maintain detailed notes for each class, highlighting strengths and areas for improvement.
Feedback Report: Provide constructive feedback to the B.Ed. students after observation.
Reflective Analysis: Write a reflective summary of each session observed.
Outcome
